3 - 4 p.m. Saturdays and by appointment

Parents who wish to present their child for Baptism may contact the church office to enroll for monthly Baptismal classes.  This class is held on the third Thursday at 7 p.m. in the St. Joseph Activity Building.  Celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism is at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday following the last class.

St. Joseph Catholic Church’s Baptismal Guidelines (based on the archdiocesan guidelines):

  • Baptismal classes are for parents with children, new born to three years of age; for parents with children older than three years, Baptism preparation is provided through the parish’s Faith Formation program.
  • Godparents must be practicing Catholics who have already made their Confirmation.
  • Godparents, if married, must be married in the Catholic Church.
  • If not married, the godparents cannot be living with someone as if they were married.
  • Both parents and godparents must attend the class.
  • Parents must bring a copy of their child’s registered Birth Certificate from the state of birth (not the hospital certificate).
