Baptism
Parents who wish to present their child for Baptism may contact the church office to enroll for a Baptism class. This class is held in the Activity Building. Celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism is at 11:00 a.m. on the 3rd Saturday of the month following the class.
St. Joseph Catholic Church’s Baptismal Guidelines (based on the archdiocesan guidelines):
- Baptismal classes are for parents with children, new born to seven years of age; for parents with children older than seven years, Baptism preparation is provided through the parish’s Faith Formation program.
- Godparents must be practicing Catholics who have already made their Confirmation.
- Godparents, if married, must be married in the Catholic Church.
- If not married, the godparents cannot be living with someone as if they were married.
- Both parents and godparents must attend the class.
- Parents must bring a copy of their child’s registered Birth Certificate from the state of birth (not the hospital certificate).
- There is a $5.00 Baptismal Garment Fee

Please print, complete in detail, and return the Baptismal Information Form and Birth Certificate to the Parish Office prior to attending the class.
